Quality Assurance Analyst to complete Manual Testing and tickets within their Azure DevOps environment

Our Client is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to complete Manual Testing and tickets within their Azure DevOps environment.

The QA Tester will collaborate closely with QA team members, developers, and product owners to transform high-level user requirements into robust manual tests. This individual will lead manual testing efforts, analyze test results, report defects, and ensure consistent software quality across all releases.

An initial 1-year contract. Hybrid work model in Ottawa ( 2-3 Days in office)

Tasks include, but not limited to;

• Work closely with the QA team, developers, and product owners to understand user scenarios, to transform high-level requirements into optimized manual tests.
• With a passion for testing, you advocate for, and contribute to, achieving the highest possible level of testing in support of delivering quality software.
• Analyze test results and submit quality defect reports, when required provide support to development engineers to aid in defect resolution.
• Develop and execute manual test cases.
• Take ownership of maintaining the suite of tests.
• Working in a fast-paced environment that requires agile, clear thinking for quick turnaround of accurate, high-quality deliverables while managing multiple priorities.
• Staying abreast of current technologies and industry trends. A techie at heart, you leverage all technology to its fullest.
• Finding innovative solutions to any problems that may arise, including working with developers to reproduce issues/defects.
• Using your excellent communication skills: the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to colleagues and stakeholders, with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Must Have:

3 years of Manual Testing

2 years of experience in an Azure DevOps Environment

2 years of experience building a testing environment, virtualization, cloud, and container technologies.
