S.i. Systems enterprise public health client is seeking a REMOTE Public Health Senior Solutions Architect - Technical Setup and Integration to be responsible for the overall technical setup and integration of the various components (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks).

MUST HAVE SKILLS:
Public healthcare experience
o Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
o Extensive experience Microsoft Azure, Datalakes, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks architecture particularly within healthcare and public sector environments.
o 2+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture design and implementation, with a focus on secure data sharing, scalability, and healthcare compliance.
o In-depth expertise in designing scalable, reliable cloud architectures and developing migration strategies.
o Experience implementing security protocols, secure data exchange frameworks, and data privacy practices through Microsoft Purview, ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and protecting sensitive information in the healthcare environment.
o Strong understanding of healthcare-specific regulatory standards, such as HITRUST and FHIR, to ensure adherence to data governance and compliance requirements.
o Expertise in establishing monitoring frameworks to track key performance metrics, analyzing data to identify bottlenecks, optimizing resource allocation, implementing performance tuning, and planning for scalability to ensure optimal performance within Microsoft Fabric.
BACKGROUND:
This project aims to establish a secure, compliant framework for data sharing among BC’s health organizations, enabling inter-organizational collaboration without the need for physical data transfers. Additionally, it focuses on modernizing the Ministry's data warehouse, Health ideas, by adopting cloud technologies to support growing data needs and align with healthcare data strategies. The goal is to facilitate timely, accurate, and near-real-time data access to enhance healthcare decision-making across the province.Project Specifications:
· Federated Data Lakehouse with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks: This PoC uses a hybrid model to test a federated data lakehouse environment, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Databricks for secure data access and collaboration.
· Role-Based Access and Security Framework: Establishes role-based access controls (RBAC) and auditing mechanisms to comply with healthcare data regulations and streamline data access securely.
· Data Cataloging and Metadata Management: Implements tools for data cataloging and lineage tracking, enhancing data discoverability and governance. A metadata management solution spans all health organizations, supporting both technical and business data visibility.
· Pilot Testing with Fake Data: Uses curated, de-identified fake data to simulate real-world data sharing, ensuring that data handling standards are met before implementing on live data.
Solutions Architect: Technical Setup and Integration.
Role Overview: This role is responsible for the overall technical setup and integration of the various components (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks). The solutions architect: Technical Setup and Integration will work closely with the Data Architect and Data Engineer from each participating partner team to ensure that the technical infrastructure supports the POC's objectives.
- Technical Setup and Integration of Platforms: Oversee the technical setup and integration of Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and related components to support the Proof of Concept (POC) objectives.
- Cloud Architecture Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards.
- Cross-Team Collaboration for Infrastructure Alignment: Collaborate with Data Architects and Data Engineers from partner teams to ensure the infrastructure meets data governance, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Data System Optimization and Performance Monitoring: Configure and optimize data systems for performance, monitoring key metrics, resolving bottlenecks, and enabling scalability.
Security Protocols and Data Privacy Frameworks: Implement security protocols and data privacy frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Purview) to protect sensitive healthcare data and ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA and HITRUST.
