Secret cleared Bilingual Senior UI/UX Consultant to assist in the redesign and modernization of a Federal Government website

Our Valued Public Sector Client is seeking a Secret cleared Bilingual Service designer to assist in the redesign and modernization of a new Public Facing Website. They client requires continued support on this by a resource for user testing/research/validating, whether their Public Facing Website or their to be developed internal login portal adheres to the Government of Canada’s standards on compliance, privacy, accessibility, and design, while also pushing the boundaries of what is possible in terms of capabilities, look, and feel.

Tasks:

  • Ability to design an intuitive and streamlined login process that minimizes user friction, ensuring a smooth experience across different devices and platforms.
  • Expertise in creating login interfaces that are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 and other relevant accessibility standards.
  • Ensuring the portal functions well on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, with adaptive layouts that optimize the user experience regardless of screen size.
  • Skill in developing a consistent design language and user interface that aligns with the broader government digital ecosystem, ensuring a unified experience across multiple services.
  • Hands-on experience specifically in designing a login portal, which underpins all the other critical aspects.
  • Production of mock-ups, wireframes, and working prototypes of the new website functionalities
  • Conduct and coordinate all the design validation research testing with the intended audience of the website
  • Facilitate content that meets Canada.ca style guide and web content accessibility guidelines.
  • Developing research materials, in both official languages.
  • Create, finalize, and approve the detailed work plan with the project owner
  • Present design changes recommendations based on testing with users

Must Haves:

  • 2 + years of International experience
  • 5+ years of experience with FIGMA and AEM ( Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Secret clearance
  • Bilingual (French & English)
