Senior Accounting Business Analyst to update the bank's Reconciliation processes- 36003

Business Analyst -

Location Address: 150 King street - Hybrid (2-3 days in office weekly)

Contract Duration: Until April 2025

Schedule Hours: 9 am-5 pm Monday-Friday



Story Behind the Need

Business group: Operations Control - Reconciliations - this team is currently overseeing multiple projects but the majority of the contract will be to assist in a large scale implementation project.


Project: the team is working on an update to their Reconciliation processes. The successful candidates will be working to support the project from end to end of it’s life cycle. The candidates would be working closely with multiple teams across the bank including developers.


Responsibilities:

Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies

Working to understand current processes and what will be effected during the implementation process

Responsible for relationship management working to establish productive relationships between various leaders, departments and partners across the organization.

Able to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.

Gathers requirements from business units

Visualize information depending on the stage of the project

Perform UAT

Mapping out work flows

Verifying input data in correct

Solutions-oriented and ability to develop and create innovative solutions to critical business or organizational data issues

Strong analytical skills with amplitude for generating insights through an evidence-based thought process


Must Have Skills:

1) 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst

2) Prior project experience managing project based work

3) Knowledge of Accounting processes (please see note in Best vs Average)

4) Prior Financial Institution Experience


Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Experience with Broadridge products

2) Experience with TLM or Duco


Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field.


Best vs. Average Candidate

The best candidate is someone with a working knowledge of Accounting principals. They would not need to have worked in an accounting capacity but it would be very helpful if they had exposure to accounting/reconciliation projects
