Senior Applications Architect to provide solution architecture and design for a large modernization program on behalf of a healthcare client.

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior Applications Architect to provide solution architecture and design for a new Prescription Drug data collection system on behalf of a healthcare client.

Initial 1-year term, with strong possibility of extension to 3 years total. Candidates with the ability to work on-site in North York, ON would be preferred, however 100% remote options may be available. 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Provide solution architecture and design for a number of projects running under a large modernization program, focused on onboarding new data assets and creation of private reporting products.
• Design data processing pipelines, integration of multiple data transformation applications, and data access solutions.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, ETL team, and data architects in these projects.

Must Have Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working with AWS services such as Redshift, CloudFormation, S3, RDS/Aurora, AWS IAM Services, EC2, and VPC
• Demonstrated experience with Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Python & Jupyter Notebooks
• Demonstrated experience with with DevOps methodology and tools such as Bamboo, Gitlab, Docker, AWS ECS and AWS ECS
• Demonstrated experience working with Java-based Microservices and Serverless Architecture
• Demonstrated experience with Data Engineering and Data Preparation
• Demonstrated experience working with Apache Airflow, SQL, AND Hive

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry
