Our Public Sector Client requires a Senior Business Analyst (10+ Years) to support the development and implementation of a case and client management system and other regulatory compliance systems within the department.

Full time, 100% remote

Responsibilities to Include:

• Capture and document detailed business needs and systems requirements for a custom-built case and client management database to support regulatory exemptions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to translate regulatory frameworks, such as Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR), into functional requirements.
• Facilitate working sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify, develop, and prioritize system functionality for project phases.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication between business teams and vendors by providing regular status updates, detailed reports, and work package progress.
• Analyze and decompose high-level requirements into Features, User Stories, Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Use Cases, and Business Process Models to guide the technical team.
• Collaborate with QA teams to verify that system functionality aligns with approved requirements and support testing during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.
• Participate in cross-program meetings to address issues requiring further requirements clarification.
• Assess and document risks and impacts associated with changes, especially for onboarding and integrating Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Business Analysis IIBA certification
• Demonstrated experience developing BRDs, Use Cases, and User Stories.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience translating regulatory and compliance requirements into technical and functional specifications.
• Strong facilitation skills with experience conducting workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and status reporting.
