Senior Cloud Engineer to design Web App, Azure Hosted Servers, and Azure Servers

Start Date (Estimate): June 24, 2024

Term: 6 months (End date December 31, 2024)

Extension option(s): 12 months

Hybrid (Once a month on site)

Must Haves:

1. University degree in applied sciences such as Computer Sciences, Systems Design, Engineering, Business or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent

2. 3-5 years of experience in enterprise grade cloud architecture and design principals of web services within the Azure Cloud and on Oracle physical/hosted servers that are robust, scalable and cost effective.

3. 3-5 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing Extract/Transform/load (ETL) data pipelines with Azure data technologies including Azure Infrastructure, Web app, Azure Networking and IP Management, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.

4. 3-5 years of experience and excellent knowledge of RDMBS and SQL- Oracle and SQL Server relational databases.

5. 3-5 years of experience in the use of XML, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies for application and systems interoperability including sftp/mft.

6. Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to use their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions; high initiative and ability to prioritize in a high pressure environment and ability to work on simultaneous projects.

Nice-To-Have:

1. Strong knowledge in IBM Cloud Pak for data.

2. Experience in the Insurance industry including the Accord reference model is a plus

3. Expert knowledge of data patterns to support design concepts/processes including ETL/ELT, Data Mesh, date lake, data lakehouse, data warehouse, data streaming, data virtualization, etc.

4. Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional, data vault, etc.) principles and techniques based on established methodologies including semantic models and business views.).

5. Strong knowledge of data governance framework principles and vendor platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica EDC/Axon)

6. Strong knowledge of SQL and demonstrated ability to apply SQL to a wide variety of business requirements.

7.Strong Knowledge of ETL frameworks using Azure Data Factory, Spark Notebooks and Infosphere DataStage as well as standards and best practices of ETL development.

8.Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Spark)

9.Strong oral and written communication techniques to prepare reports, reviews, briefing materials and correspondence; presentation skills to present information and findings, options and recommendations to senior officials and managers, ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively and in a user-friendly manner; maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
