Description
Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with GCP, BigQuery, Python and IAC to manage data lake processing.
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in Brampton
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Data Lake in BigQuery ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Design and implement data analytics and processing pipelines to effectively manage and process large volumes of data.
- Understand and execute architecture and design of cloud infrastructure in GCP ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Write clean, efficient code to build data pipelines, automate tasks, and implement data solutions.
- Leverage Terraform and/or Ansible ad automation pipelines to manage cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain scripts for data pipelines management, system configuration, and process automation.
Must Have Skills:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - designing and deploying cloud-based solutions
- BigQuery - data lake management
- Development Experience (Python, GO, Java) - data pipeline development and automation
- Terraform
Nice to Haves:
- Ansible
