Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Strategy and Risk Management Consultant to provide strategic guidance and recommendations to support Cyber Security and Risk Management initiatives.

Background:

The organization needs to respond to GC strategic remits on Cyber Security and Risk management efforts by collecting and analyzing data, then producing reports to be compiled as part of the enterprise reporting to GC. End products are strategic reports and documents on Cyber Security and Risk Management that depict the Cyber Security profile of the organization.

Tasks:

• Plan and develop a comprehensive Cyber Security Strategy, outlining key objectives, initiatives, and outcomes.
• Design an implementation plan to operationalize the Cyber Security Strategy.
• Maintain the Cyber Security part of the Strategic Security Risk Register and provide feedback into the other aspects of security risks.
• Produce strategic reports and documents that provide insights on the overall Cyber Security and Risk Management status within the organization for the Government of Canada (GC).
• Develop an update the cyber security strategy and associated roadmap and implementation plan for the department, including associated risk management and governance framework.
• Maintain and update the Security Management Governance Framework to ensure alignment with evolving risks and security requirements.
• Provide recommendations for improving the overall cyber security posture, ensuring all areas are effectively managed and secure against emerging threats.

Must Haves:

• Cyber Security Strategic Planning - 10+ years
• Cyber Security Certification
• University Degree
• Secret Clearance
