Role is onsite in Regina

Must Have

• 7+ years of demonstrated success as a Senior Information Security Architect
• 7+ years of experience performing information security design assessments and gap analysis
• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing defense-in-depth information security controls for critical applications and data environments
• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing cybersecurity maturity programs or projects
• 5+ years of experience applying ISO 27001/2 standards or other security compliance frameworks
• Willingness and commitment to work full time onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience conducting security reviews to ensure compliance with security guidelines and standards
• 5+ years of experience identifying security requirements for infrastructure and applications, including integration of endpoint, network, and cloud solutions
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with tools and concepts such as IAM, SSO, IPS/IDS, firewalls, wireless security, vulnerability management, penetration testing, VPN, PKI, LDAP, AD, SAML, SIEM
• 3+ years of experience with application servers and cloud services
• In-depth knowledge of the current information security landscape and competitive security solutions (endpoint, core network, and cloud security)
• 5+ years of experience with ISO 27001/2 or similar information security frameworks
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF, and/or GIAC

Description

The client is seeking a highly experienced Information Security Architect to provide leadership and expertise in developing, assessing, and implementing secure solutions. The role involves working closely with technical teams to ensure the integrity and compliance of security practices within infrastructure and application environments. This includes developing cybersecurity programs, applying security frameworks, and leading design and implementation efforts for critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform security design assessments and identify gaps in current implementation
• Design and implement layered security controls for applications, infrastructure, and data environments
• Lead the development and execution of cybersecurity maturity programs
• Apply ISO 27001/2 and other compliance frameworks to improve overall security posture
• Conduct security reviews to validate alignment with standards and guidelines
• Collaborate with teams to define and integrate security requirements into systems and cloud solutions
• Recommend and guide the use of security tools such as IAM, firewalls, SIEM, and VPNs
• Stay current with trends and advancements in information security technologies and solution
