Senior IT Project Controller for budget management and financial risk tracking within a PMO

Our large Oil & Gas client is seeking a Senior IT Project Controller for budget management and financial risk tracking within a PMO for an initial contract to the end of Dec 2025 with a possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and willing to follow a hybrid downtown Calgary working model (3 days in office/week).

Must-Haves:

• 10-15 years' Project Controls experience, with at least 5+ years supporting IT/IS project financing and budgeting
• Experience working within a PMO and/or ability to manage multi-million, multi-year, and a multi-Business Unit portfolio
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI for reporting, visualizations, and tracking
• Experience with SAP (ideally with Project System and Enterprise Portfolio & Project Management modules)

Scope: Working within an IT PMO handling multiple simultaneous projects and business units, the IT Project Controller will work alongside IT Project Coordinators and IT Project/Program Managers to develop risk mitigation, financial tracking, and recommendations for ongoing improvements and developments in projects. Additionally, the IT Project Controller, will coordinate project activities, track schedules, and leveraging tools (SAP, Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint) to ensure the successful delivery of ongoing and new projects/programs.
