Our client is seeking a Senior M365 Technical Specialist interpret and implement current policies within MS Tenant and provide guidance on the setup and best practices for Microsoft Purview and other administrative centers. (Remote)

Contract until December 23rd 2025

Responsibilities

• Setting up and documenting data loss protection (DLP) policies
• Translation of APS Retention Schedules into usable schedules in the tenant
• Helping the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team address security items to assist with Microsoft Copilot preparedness
• Assisting in the creation of an M365 Framework
• Provide expertise in tightening current policies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Identify methods to address current data quality issues (e.g., over retention, duplication) and longer-term governance
• Collaborate with Information Services and Technology (IST) division and business areas
• Documenting all settings and tenant layout
• Providing knowledge of the best practices for the long-term governance and management of the tenant
• Providing knowledge transfer to additional IST resources

Must Have

• 5+ years as a technical consultant or similar in M365 environments
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or other related certifications
• MS Purview configuration/setup/administration
• MS Tenant
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with information management, data governance, and security best practices
• Powershell

Nice to Have

• A bachelor’s degree or comparable diploma, certificate, or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems
