Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to assist in the implementation of multiple transportation applications (COTs and in-house) in an Agile environment

Candidates must be located in Calgary. Hybrid work model of in-office and work from home. 37.5 hour work week

Role #1 - Experience with Transit-specific application implementations of Hastus and CAD AVL - Req 424 (18 month contract)

Role #2 - Technical Project Management experience with in-house application development (previous dev experience) - Req 423 (12 month contract)

Must haves:

• 10+ years of IT Project Management experience of large, complex application projects, or program of projects practiced in accordance with generally accepted good practices identified in PMI’s PMBOK Guide, etc
• 10 years of experience with project resource planning and participation/input into project team resourcing
• 10+ years of experience leading project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors

Nice to haves:

• Previous work experience with municipal or other large government organizations;
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and manage complex relationships with groups/individuals with varying perspectives, interest and roles;
• Strong leadership, planning, change management and analytic skills;
• Well-developed communication skills including oral, written, presentation, facilitation and mediation skills (negotiation and mediation)
