Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver major SAP projects for in the Public Sector. (355)


Must Have:

  • 6 years of experience in a Project Management role.
  • Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification
  • 3 years of experience working in or for the public sector.
  • 4 years with various software development methodologies (i.e., agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • 4 years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent experience.


Nice to Have:

  • 2 years of experience working in an enterprise architect environment.


Description: The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership for the SAP projects within the Client. This role involves planning, developing, and delivering major additions, enhancements, and re-engineering initiatives for the SAP ERP solution. The Project Manager will establish project management standards, processes, and best practices to ensure a consistent approach to project delivery and implementation across the SAP CoE. This position ensures that SAP projects are on time, on budget, and managed transparently.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management leadership for large and complex SAP projects.
  • Develop project business cases, business analysis, process models/maps, project definitions, and requests for proposals.
  • Define project scope, develop work plans, allocate resources, and establish project reporting schedules.
  • Lead project implementation phases, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation plans, as well as issue logs.
  • Develop post-implementation review strategies and project documentation.
  • Provide status reporting and lead project outcome measurement.
  • Ensure business processes associated with projects support the transition to operations.
  • Provide expert advice, support, and mentorship to team members.
  • Engage and consult with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met and issues are addressed.
  • Build collaborative relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
