Senior Project Manager to support the implementation of a 5 gate model project gating framework within the public sector.

Our valued public sector clients are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the implementation of a 5 gate model project gating framework.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing the existing 5 gate model developed and identify gaps and opportunities
• Establish a list of criteria for classifying a project into categories. For example, big, medium, small projects, investments, light project, fast track project to support regular operations, ministerial and crisis.
• Define the business stream to align project definition, artifacts, related activities and governance ;
• Producing a roadmap for implementation
• Providing briefings on progress and concerns of the project;
• Coordinating and preparing documentation in response to activities define in the roadmap;
• Developing, planning, analyzing, evaluating and prioritizing requirements and deliverables;
• Aligning the 5 gate model with the new Intake process
• Driving consultations with key stakeholders as required.
• Analysing and evaluating government of Canada policy suite in the space of project management and ensure compliance with the 5 gate models
• Aligning the 5 gates model, artifacts and related activities with the project and investment oversight governance in place
• Developing a roll out strategy and change management framework
• Developing a communication strategy and communication product for stakeholders
• Preparing key project path for each stream in support of the 5 gate model
• Developing a roadshow to inform changes for users
• Leading stakeholder engagement sessions to establish an implementation path to use the 5 gate model
• Delivering various users, stakeholders, and executive presentations and training;

Must haves:

• Previous PMO experience
• Previous gating framework implementation experience
• Active Federal government clearance
