Our valued public sector client requires a Senior Python Developer to upgrade the existing Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Testbed software application to increase functionality and develop techniques and load sets for ECM equipment.

Background:

This public sector group within Ottawa provides scientific advice and engineering expertise to support various communications electronic countermeasure (ECM) systems through laboratory and field evaluations. To increase efficiency and minimize human error, a software control application (ECM Testbed) was developed to automate the process of ECM equipment evaluation and optimization. They require a Software Developer to upgrade the existing Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Testbed software application to increase functionality and develop techniques and load sets for ECM equipment.

Tasks:

• Evaluate the performance of communications electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems using an automated software control application.
• Meet with staff in order to determine ECM loadset requirements and then develop & implement loadsets on ECM equipment.
• Design and implementation of hardware control applications for sensors and/or laboratory measurement equipment.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel.
• Design detailed programs, flow charts, and diagrams indicating mathematical computation andsequence of machine operations necessary to control laboratory equipment, process data and store the results.
