Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Senior Technical Lead - Frontend Developer with expertise in TypeScript & Next.JS for a Digital Health Application Development project.

Project: Greenfield Application Development; Digital Health Application

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance for a team of frontend developers. Lead the effort to build a new health application, working with TypeScript and Next.JS.
• Assist staff developers with architecture and design decisions, ensuring frontend components are effectively integrated into the system.
• Work closely with the design team to integrate a comprehensive Design System into the application. Create reusable frontend components and ensure they align with system requirements.
• Understand and support processes surrounding a MonoRepo (single repository architecture). Ensure smooth implementation and integration of code.
• Implement unit testing using Jest to ensure that code is reliable, maintainable, and adheres to quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between the product, design, and development teams. Translate design and product requirements into actionable tasks for the team, ensuring a seamless development process.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards are met, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (including product and design teams), ensuring clear, effective communication and alignment across the project.

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in Frontend Development using TypeScript and Next.JS
• MonoRepo architecture and workflows.
• Integrating Design Systems into applications
• Unit Testing using Jest
• Cloud (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure)
