Senior Web developer to build and enhance GIS applications using ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Web Experience Builder and VertiGIS technologies

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Web developer to build and enhance GIS applications using ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Web Experience Builder and VertiGIS technologies

Calgary-based client. Candidates will be working in-office when needed (Hybrid)

Must haves:

• 7+ years of experience as a Web Developer with a focus on GIS applications built using ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Web Experience Builder and VertiGIS technologies
• Experience in design and development of scalable web services that integrate in service-oriented architecture.
• Experience in programming languages like JavaScript OR experience with ArcGIS JavaScript API or JavaScript widget for ArcGIS online
• Experiences in ESRI geoprocessing service development using Python.
• Experience with Geodatabase management and development

Nice to haves:

• Experience with developing FME services, including FME Workbench and the FME REST API, will be advantageous.
• Experience in creating tools, scripts or services for representing and converting spatial data between various formats like CAD, shapefile, etc.
• Experience with agile development methodology.
• Experience in DevOps environment with ability to create automated scripts for building and deploying developed units.
• Experience with cloud environment like Azure, Google or AWS

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical specifications for developed applications.
• Assist with analysis of business requirements, design and development of a web GIS application components that are integrated with other technologies using service Oriented Architecture approach.
• Design and develop GIS user interfaces (web map applications) using technologies like ArcGIS, VertiGIS, JavaScript, Typescript.
• Design and develop web services that integrate with other web service platforms using protocols like SOAP, RESTful and data interchange formats like JSON, xml, shapefiles, etc. Analyze technical issues and implement solutions to technical problems that are aligned with the AER architecture standards and best practices.
• Develop custom addons for ArcGIS Pro by using Python or ARCGIS Pro SDK for .Net
