Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Conversion Lead to join our team immediately. The selected individual will be responsible for leading the data conversion workstream under a staff augmentation arrangement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in major transformational projects and preferably billing system replacement experience. We need someone who is very good at drafting a conversion strategy and approach and build out a plan together with the PM to execute on the approach.

Location: The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate is expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week for the duration of the Program which is projected to take between 24 and 36 months. If the candidate does not live in Edmonton, travel expenses will be covered.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the overall strategy and planning for the Data Conversion workstream.
• Collaborate with the Data Conversion and other M2C Program workstreams to document activities, identify risks, and create mitigation strategies.
• Establish and manage the conversion timing processes during design, development, and testing phases.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to build out and execute a comprehensive conversion strategy and plan.
• Track Known Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report on workstream progress against the baseline.
• Ensure all conversion-related activities are on or ahead of schedule in coordination with the Tariff Billing workstream.
• Guide technical resources through the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the conversion.
• Support the implementation of new processes or procedures as needed.
• Provide overall guidance for mock conversions and ensure accurate data reconciliation.
• Manage the relationship with the Tariff Billing Vendor Partner regarding data conversion.
• Act as a primary resource during the conversion, answering questions and providing support.
• Communicate adjustments to processes and ensure implementation across technical resources.

Must-Haves:

• 10+ years as data conversion workstreams in major transformational projects.
• Proven ability to develop and execute conversion strategies and plans.
• Prior Billing project experience
• Expertise in ETL processes, data transformation, and reconciliation.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Previous experience with billing system replacement projects.
• Knowledge of Tariff Billing systems and processes.
• Experience working within a utilities or similar industry.
