Sr Data Developer to help support a Data and Application Modernization project

Our valued client requires a Senior Data Developer to help support a Data and Application Modernization project.

The project involves migrating a legacy system from Oracle to AWS, alongside a complete revitalization of their application ecosystem. The client is seeking highly skilled AWS Data Solutions Consultants who can lead the adoption and migration of data assets and processes into AWS infrastructure.

Must haves:

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and technologies; DMS, Glue, Step Functions
• Knowledge in RDBMS
• AWS Glue
• Strong experience working with Python and Typescript
• Experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing T-SQL queries
• Experience with data modelling & data engineering
• Experience in Agriculture or building software for Agriculture

Nice to have:

• Informatica and Teradata knowledge
• Use of process orchestration tool of ActiveBatch

Tasks include:

• Work with a scrum team(s) to deliver product stories according to priorities set by FCC and the Product Owners.
• Provide knowledge transfer to other team members.
• Interact with stakeholders.
• Consulting with data engineering to ensure solutions are within 'rules' (follow approved patterns) and develop new patterns when necessary.
• Experience training BIA, Data Analysts and Data Scientists.
• The consultants will provide the ongoing support post migration and for the business units developing of new solutions.
• The support will include identifying the needs of each business unit and training on the approved patterns needed to fully enable them.
• It will also include identifying gaps in the approved patterns and then working with Data Engineering to close those gaps with new patterns, or a process optimization unit if needed.
