Sr. Program Manager to define, develop, and deliver an integrated support model between multiple large organizations for our transit client - RQ00073


Location: Toronto - Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site)

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)


Responsibilities:

  • As part of a large scale, enterprise-wide, highly complex, high profile, and high-risk initiative this person will provide program management leadership to define, develop, and deliver an integrated support model between multiple large organizations.
  • The role will also include accountability for one or more workstreams and their successful, cost effective, and efficient delivery.
  • Direct, manage and lead technical and non-technical multidisciplinary and diverse stakeholders across multiple organizations
  • Lead one or more program Workstream Leads and the associated, matrixed team members
  • Program governance, financial governance, and contracts
  • Understand and articulate I&IT executive expectations and translating into program deliverables
  • Monitor and manage costs, risks, schedule, governance, technical performance, and program impact of each workstream.
  • Program view of project inter-dependencies and external project dependencies, monitoring and reporting on exposure levels.
  • Develop complex budgets based on multiple funding channels and cross organization dependencies
  • Analyze program and organization's environments to identify potential risks and issues; articulates and prioritizes issues and risks to senior executives; recommends mitigation strategies to decision-makers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
  • Use significant innovation in the planning, analysis and execution of tasks Experience directing stakeholder consultation, facilitation and consensus building
  • Provide program, portfolio, and/or project reporting to multiple stakeholders
  • Build positive relationships within the team and external parties
  • Contribute to improvements in life cycle based on lessons learned and past experience
  • Adhere to organization's standards and best practices for program
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintaining agenda
  • Exercises a range of leadership responsibilities including the role of coach


Must have skills:

  • 10+ years in Program Manager role leading, managing technical and non-technical multidisciplinary and diverse project teams including multiple program managers
  • Strong experience setting up support systems and understanding workflows and integration between two companies
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow implementations (ITIL experience with a strong understanding of IT service, incident, problem management leveraging ServiceNow)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing program implementation and execution from inception to go-live and warranty period. This includes needs analysis, business planning, benefits identification, and associated funding requests.
  • Experience w/ large scale, dynamic, highly complex projects w/ multilayer third parties involved
  • Understanding and experience w/ negotiating contracts


Nice to have skills:

  • Transportation, rail, logistics, or travel industry experience
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems and their integrations beneficial
