Systems Administrator is to be responsible for the administration of ABM/ATM and CRU systems for our large banking client - 34232
Location Address: ONSITE position - Scarborough - fully in person role 5 days/week required
Contract Duration: ASAP to 01/31/2025
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need
Business group: ABM Delivery Services - responsible for developing and maintaining the ABM software and hardware fleet across Canada
Project: ABM Lab -
The main function of a Systems Administrator is to be responsible for the administration of ABM/ATM and CRU systems as well as monitoring the labs onsite. Ensures consistent and reliable operation including lab peripherals, servers and lab network infrastructure.
Typical Day in Role:
Provides wide ranging system administration in a multi-platform ABM/ATM and CRU environment
Responsible for general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, urgent system patching.
Writes and implements scripts to automate tasks as required.
Ability to work with lab support team to identify and troubleshoot hardware components that are problematic.
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all ABM/ATM and CRU hardware along with network disruption awareness.
Assist in documenting and defining key processes required to run the lab and support the test and development teams.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years’ experience required proven work experience as a System or Network Administrator
- 3+ years’ demonstrated project experience on implementing a new solution within a lab space
- 3+ years’ experience with ABM/ATM and CRU experience on Diebold Nixdorf a strong asset
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience managing hardware for customer facing self-service kiosks
- Experience troubleshooting and testing ABM/ATM hardware components
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Average candidate: would follow team’s lead and implement and action tasks assigned; Best is recent experience managing a hardware lab with ABMs and CRUs at a Bank, coming up with ideas, pitching and suggesting improvements for processes, takes initiative and ownership; recent hands-on experience with ABM/ATM and CRU experience on Diebold Nixdorf; go getter attitude
Candidate Review & Selection
1 interview in person - 1 hour - panel interview - with HM, director, and senior technical product owner - situational/scenario interview questions (will bring them to lab and show them around, depending on experience with machines can include technical questions but if not will replace with other more general scenario questions)
