Sales Director, Guaranteed Wealth Solutions

Reporting to the Head of Distribution, Sales, Individual Insurance, the Sales Director for Guaranteed Savings Solutions will be responsible for promoting all guaranteed investment products (segregated funds, annuities, and GICs) using a solutions-based sales approach. Success will be measured by the closure of new sales, the establishment of new relationships, and the strengthening of existing ones.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieve ambitious sales targets and annual production goals.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial advisors, propose ideas to help expand their business.

  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to promote new sales.

  • Develop professional relationships with other Manulife partners in the field.

  • Regularly meet with regional advisors and record daily activities.

  • Develop and share sales, marketing, and business expansion strategies and best practices.

  • Proactively manage relationships with key advisors and intermediaries, providing training and support.

  • Resolve issues that may arise with intermediaries and individuals in the region.

  • Implement business expansion plans, organize meetings and dynamic sales seminars.

  • Contribute to marketing support strategies and new sales ideas for advisors.

  • Ensure frontline management of business risks by raising awareness and supporting advisors, implementing company policies, including compliance, and overseeing sales activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in selling investment products with an in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and capital markets.

  • Participation in the sale of guaranteed investment products through one or more of the following entities: MFDA and IIROC, broker-dealer network, banks.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned regions or territories.

  • Completion of the Investment Funds in Canada course from the Canadian Securities Institute or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual (French and English) - The successful candidate must communicate in both English and French to serve clients from various provinces other than Quebec.

  • In-depth knowledge of segregated funds, guaranteed interest accounts, and annuities.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent organizational skills.

  • Proven abilities in:

    • Decision making

    • Project and activity planning

    • Creative thinking

    • Interpersonal relations/communications

    • Listening, conflict resolution, facilitation, and presentation

    • Computer skills

    • All aspects of the sales process

    • Influencing and negotiation skills
