Senior Analyst, Finance (Contract)

The impact you will have:

As a Senior Analyst, Finance, you will play an integral role in financial analysis and reporting cycles to support business decision making. You will work closely with Finance, Business Development, Sales and HR to provide meaningful financial analysis to support the month end close process. You will ensure accuracy of all data reported in the financial reporting systems (SAP). This is a unique opportunity to provide our business leadership with the analytical and decision making support to help them execute on their market strategies.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform financial analysis and build comprehensive reporting packages to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision making.
  • Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, including variance analysis against budget and historical performance.
  • Support and collaborate with the FP&A team in preparation of the annual budget & forecasts.
  • Identify areas of process improvement, in partnership with all relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to provide insight into the financial performance of the business and to support investment decisions.

Please note: This role is hybrid with an expectation of working in the Toronto office 1-3 times per month.


What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Accounting designation required - CPA.
  • 5+ years experience with minimum of 3+ years in a similar role.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills with advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Previous experience with ERP system (SAP) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work past scheduled hours due to deadlines, month or year-end requirements.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, Intercompany and other Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively report findings to senior leaders.
