Trainer, Adoption & Change Management

The Trainer is a member of the Adoption & Change Management team, working with project delivery in a customer-facing role. The focus of the Trainer is on designing, developing, and delivering instructor-led training to our customers. In this role, you will work closely with the Adoption & Change Management Consultants and overall project team to ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional end user training.

We’re seeking a Trainer to deliver Softchoice’s instructor-led training, who is a great communicator and is passionate about teaching and driving adoption through direct engagement with our customers.

What you will do:

  • Gather customer training requirements and deliver engaging instructor-led training courses on-site or remotely.
  • Discuss and understand the customer environment and product features being deployed to define delivery strategies, learning needs, and optimal delivery methods.
  • Define a training plan and coordinate training logistics.
  • Customize training materials which may include: PowerPoint presentations, user quick reference guides, training videos, and/or user instructions.
  • Deliver a customized training program at customer site or remotely.
  • Contribute to cross-team efforts to provide and maintain customer facing documentation and training collateral.
  • Observe and evaluate results and effectiveness of training sessions.

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with current end-user training methodologies and principles.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing training plans and curriculum in a technology or software related environment.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering exceptional instructor-led training, with a background and understanding of adult learning principles and training best practices.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills at all levels of an organization including customers, vendors, business stakeholders, and executives.
  • Excellent planning and analytics skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at prioritization of tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and/or Cisco UC technologies. Knowledge will be required to deliver instructor-led training for Microsoft O365, Cisco UC, and/or related technologies.
