Location: Stoughton Central School, located in the community of Stoughton, SK Term: Start Date: December 16, 2024 End Date: Tenure: PermanentHours of Work: Equivalent to 6 hours per day student days Duties: In addition to those duties outlined in the job description, duties include supporting students with diverse needs and/or high behavioral needs. The successful applicant may be required to perform the following: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without a lift and up to 120 pounds with 2 man lift or mechanical lift Transport students (personal vehicle may be required to transport) Attend to personal hygiene and medical needs as required Prepare and plan student-based life skills and academic programming under direction of teacher Focus on successfully transitioning the student to be able to work with other students and adults Focus on behaviour and safety plan created specifically for students as required Supervision of intensive needs student(s) as well as small groups of students as required Qualifications: Minimum Grade 12 diploma from an institution recognized by the Board of Education Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be flexible Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member Valid driver's license Demonstrated knowledge of school computer software such as word processing and computer assisted learning software An educational assistant or equivalent diploma, NVCI, First Aid, Autism and Behavioral educational background will be considered assets Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone Public School Division Salary & Benefits: Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated CUPE Collective Agreement as listed on our website www.secpsd.ca. The starting wage for this position is currently $20.12/hour along with a full benefit package and an employer defined pension plan.
