PRINCIPAL REQUIRED FOR
TWO HILLS MENNONITE SCHOOL
Two Hills Mennonite School requires a Principal commencing the 2025-2026 academic year.
Two Hills Mennonite School, located in Two Hills, Alberta is a grade K-12 school with approximately 22 FTE teaching staff and 28 support staff serving 460 students. The principal is also responsible for the Hairy Hill, Plain Lake and Stony Creek Hutterite Colony schools.
Applications are welcomed from experienced educators or persons with proven educational leadership. Previous experience as a principal will be considered an asset. The successful candidate must hold or qualify for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and a Leadership Quality Standard Certificate.
As an accomplished teacher, proven leader and lifelong learner, the successful candidate will have a proven leadership track record that demonstrates:
- Strong collaborative educational leadership skills
- Effective teaching and/or lead teacher experience
- Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills
- Knowledge of curriculum and proven instructional leadership qualities
- A student first focus and a belief that all children can learn and succeed
- Effective school management
- Positive and integrative behavior management skills
- Experience and/or training in cross cultural education
- Desire to get involved in participatory community education strategies
Cross-cultural experience would be an asset as would experience or training in working with English Language Learners. THMS has a population primarily consisting of Old Colony Mennonite students with English as their second language. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with a unique cultural group and willing to work within the expectations of the culture.
