Maintenance Working Foreman
Location: Manitouwadge Public School & Manitouwadge High School
Hours
of Work : Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with (1) hour unpaid lunch)
40-hours per
week. ** Hours may include evenings and weekends for emergency response and
special projects. **
Job
Summary: The MWF is responsible for maintaining the physical
plant, including buildings and grounds, in a safe and efficient manner with
minimal supervision. The incumbent will
carry out a preventive maintenance program and ensure repairs, alterations,
maintenance and adequate safety of structures, grounds, equipment and
systems. This position is responsible
for security, inventory, equipment, snow removal and other related duties. The
MWF will work as part of a team with other Maintenance personnel within the
Board. As a result, extensive travel and
overnight stays will be required at certain times of the year to facilitate
work on projects within the system. This
position will also oversee the work of contractors to ensure compliance with
specifications.
Qualifications
The candidate must::
· Demonstrated regular attendance at work;
· A valid Driver’s License
(minimum Class G), and;
· Physical ability to carry
out the requirements of the job and hold one of the following:
· HVAC Heating, Ventilation,
Air Conditioning Trade Certificate, or;
· Electrical Journeyman’s
Trades Certificate, or;
· Carpentry Trade Certificate, or;
· College diploma in a trade.
