You Are:
You are a highly skilled and innovative Analog Design Engineer with a passion for developing high-speed analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, particularly in the realm of PAM4 SERDES IP. With a solid theoretical foundation and extensive practical experience, you are adept at working within a cross-functional design team that includes both analog and digital designers from diverse backgrounds. You excel in a dynamic environment that combines state-of-the-art IC design tools with custom in-house tools, supported by a proficient software/CAD team. Your expertise in SerDes standards, circuit architectures, and simulation strategies is complemented by your ability to oversee physical layouts and document design features meticulously. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to present complex simulation data clearly and consult effectively on electrical characterization within the SerDes IP product. Your proactive approach and problem-solving abilities make you a valuable asset to any team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing SerDes standards to develop analog sub-block specifications.
- Identifying and refining circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area, and performance targets.
- Proposing design and verification strategies that leverage simulator features for the highest quality design.
- Overseeing physical layout to minimize parasitics, device stress, and process variation effects.
- Presenting simulation data for peer and customer review.
- Documenting design features and test plans comprehensively.
- Consulting on the electrical characterization of your circuit within the SerDes IP product.

What You’ll Need:
- PhD with 3 years, or MSc with 5 years of analog IC design experience.
- In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and CMOS design fundamentals.
- Detailed design experience with at least one SerDes sub-circuit and familiarity with several others.
- Awareness of ESD issues and related circuit techniques and layout considerations.
- Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
- Knowledge of SPICE simulators, Verilog-A, and scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB.

This team is a mix of analog and digital designers from various backgrounds, working collaboratively in a best-in-class design environment with state-of-the-art IC design tools and custom in-house tools, supported by an experienced software/CAD team.
