Position Overview:
The Marketing Manager, Hardlines is the champion of our customers and of our brand and the strategic marketing lead for the hardlines portfolio, comprising mainly of power tools, Spring, seasonal, cleaning campaigns and more. They are responsible for planning and implementing new integrated customer-first marketing strategies for the business across paid, owned and earned channels to help empower our Pro, DIY and DIFM customers to take on and complete their home improvement projects. Working closely with internal merchandising partners and cross-functional teammates, they optimize current campaigns and initiatives to improve performance and track and communicate progress and results regularly with the 360 businesses to ensure visibility and alignment. Where possible, they seek cross-portfolio opportunities to make our dollars stretch further, while ensuring alignment across all businesses. The Marketing Manager also ensures that our communications share our greatest product innovation and value stories.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution
Provide input into the overall The Home Depot Canada strategic marketing direction on behalf of portfolio business strategies
Develop annual, season-specific and monthly strategic marketing plans for the portfolio, and ensure all aspects of marketing and the customer experience align with the overall goals
Own the development of marketing briefs and lead cross-functional partners in the implementation of marketing plans.
Communicate and coordinate with teams including production, media planning, merchandising, public relations, legal and ecommerce to ensure all campaigns and initiatives are executed on-time, on-budget and with excellence
Champion The Home Depot brand values across all marketing content and communications
Lead additional projects for the marketing team as required
Market, Customer Insights & Performance Management
Manage the portfolio on a day-to-day basis including handling internal requests, reviewing results, overseeing marketing messaging, analyzing market and competitor trends, and continually looking for areas of improvement
Incorporate customer research, data and metrics, industry trends, and learnings from past marketing initiatives into upfront planning activities
Work with the key partners to manage the marketing budgets for the portfolio.
Track, deliver and report upon marketing ROI goals and measures and provide analysis and recommendations to aid in future planning
Become and expert in the industry, business, culture and customer

Support, inspire, and motivate fellow colleagues, direct reports, and managers alike
Lead, coach and develop small direct team of Marketing Specialists into a high-performing team

Travel to Store Support Centre for Hybrid days
Conduct store walks as needed (Home Depot, Competitors and non-Competitors)

Working in an office and home setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls
Working in stores and/or the Innovation Center
Must wear mandatory attire when required (ie. Steel toe boots, Apron)
Minimum Education:
Undergraduate degree or college diploma preferably in business or marketing
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of previous marketing experience in a relevant role
Minimum Leadership Experience:
3-5 years of leadership experience in marketing or a related field.
Proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
Strong ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Certifications:
None

Advanced capability in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Bilingual (English/French) will be considered an asset
