Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategy, the Senior Analyst will be a highly valued member of the Strategy team, working closely with cross-functional leaders and the executive leadership team on various strategic and operational initiatives. This role will support the Divisional strategic planning process, targeted strategy development, as well as competitive and macroeconomic monitoring. The Sr. Analyst will support business decision-making by working cross functionally to create insightful analysis and developing compelling business cases for future investment.
Position Responsibilities:
Support development of the corporate strategy:Drive the Division Strategic Planning Process (annual and long-term planning)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities and develop capital investment proposals
Support key strategic priorities and projectsProvide thought leadership, problem solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis, workshop facilitation and recommendations
Lead or support cross-functional business leaders to develop new strategic initiatives and to prepare project plans to support implementation
Liaise with both corporate and in-field (stores) business partners to ensure effective communication and change management
Monitor the external environment, including macroeconomic trends, competitive activity, retail and customer trends
Develop executive materials and presentations (e.g. for presentation to the Board of Directors, or Executive Team)
Champion the customer as the starting place for all strategies
Experience/Skills Required:
3 - 5 years working in a related field (consulting, finance, internal strategy or professional services)
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skill set including the ability to understand, develop and analyze financial and strategic models
Strong ability to think strategically and work with ambiguity
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
A self starter - efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion, with a strong sense of ownership
Intellectually curious - a passion for retail, enjoys solving problems
Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to Senior Management
Positive attitude, action-oriented and resourceful
Financial designation (CPA, CFA, CBV) considered an asset but not required
Working Conditions
