Job Description:

Position Overview:
Reporting to Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centered care environment. The Registered Technologist will be responsible for the complete range of tests and procedures related to MRI exams, patient information registry and report preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as relevant. The successful candidate will be required to work across all three hospitals.

Requirements:
•Current registration with the C.M.R.T.O.
•Current Canadian Magnetic Resonance certification.
•Minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Technologist, preferred.
•Minimum 1 year MRI experience, preferred.
•Thorough knowledge of the theory and practices of procedures, equipment and special techniques related to MR
•Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community.
•Able to function effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
•Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement
•Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
•Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
•Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public.
• Demonstrates values consistent with SHN’s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
• Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
• Demonstrates excellent work performance and attendance record

•Experience with Siemens scanner
