Job Description:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Privacy and Risk Management, the incumbent is a strong, independent resource; a team player who is proactive, flexible as well as competent in determining priorities, exercising judgement and discretion with confidential information with strong organizational, investigative, fact finding and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
HIROC Insurance:
Completes and updates annual insurance for all SHN sites
Develops process for obtaining certificates of insurance on an ad hoc basis (e.g. requests from Foundation, programs and individual staff members)
Prepares reports
Legal Affairs:
Files actual or potential claims with insurers
Liaises with various SHN department to gather required information for legal cases
Collaborates with SHN leadership to prepare staff to meet with adjuster/lawyers
Collaborate with the Director and Manager, outside counsel, and staff to accumulate information required for files
Prepares weekly and/or monthly reports
Develops standard work for med legals
Develops, monitors and reports on key performance indicators and key risk indicators
Product Recalls:
Works collaboratively with risk management leadership to develop formal product recall process
Review product recalls on a daily basis and manages them with key stakeholders
Reviews follow up and submits to initiator of product recalls
Develops metrics on process
Risk Management Activities:
Assists in development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process
Provides support to new staff and Chiefs on the ERM process
Works collaboratively with risk leadership on the review process for ERM
Prepares reports for local leaders
Works in collaboration with risk leadership to develop reports for SLT and The Board
Develops standard work for ERM
Develops, monitors and reports on key performance indicators and key risk indicators
Assists in development and implementation of the Legislative Compliance management (LCM) process
Provides support to new staff and Chiefs on the LCM process
Works collaboratively with risk leadership on the review process for LCM
Prepares reports for local leaders
Works in collaboration with risk leadership to develop reports for SLT and The Board
Develops standard work for LCM
Develops, monitors and reports on key performance indicators and key risk indicators
Requirements:
Completion of Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study
CRM Certification is required
Project Management certificate (PMP) or equivalent experience, an asset
Minimum 3 years experience working in a fast-paced environment, providing great customer service
Minimum 3 years experience with both legislative compliance and enterprise risk management processes
Minimum 3 years experience with medico legal process and has worked with legal counsel
Minimum 3 years experience with change management at the corporate level
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent IT/Data Management skills
Demonstrates knowledge of risk management principles and standards
Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office
Proven experience managing highly sensitive information
Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
