Job Description:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment, the Talent Acquisition and Client Support Associate (TACSA) acts as an ambassador to SHN in sourcing, finding, attracting and hiring the best talent to meet the needs of our patients and families. The TACSA will partner with line management to facilitate the full cycle recruitment, as well as well as lead and support recruitment strategies.
Requirements:
Post-Secondary Diploma or degree in Business or Social Sciences, including HR, is required
CHRL Designation preferred
Minimum two (2) years related experience in talent acquisition.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products is required.
Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is preferred
Expert user of external recruitment resources including LinkedIn, Indeed and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Experience using social media to build a professional brand
Knowledge of and experience with recruiting practices, candidate process management, behaviours interviewing skills and assessment techniques
Successfully manages a high volume of requisitions, juggling multiple roles and tasks simultaneously
Prioritizes and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment, meeting tight deadlines
Respects and values differences between people ensuring SHN has an inclusive hiring practice
Thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with management in developing good recruitment practices
Experience working with collective agreement language, employee relation rules and an understanding of HR Legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent sound judgment and decision-making skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills
Strong research and investigative skills
Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Knowledge of employment law including OHS Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, ESA, Ontario Labour Relations Act, and good general knowledge of all HR disciplines
Demonstrated focus on internal/external customer service and partnerships
Demonstrates values consistent with SHN′s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
Utilize protective equipment provided and identify and reports hazards
Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
