Assignment:
Full-time 1.0 Educational Assistant position
Duties to commence August 28, 2024 and continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year
To provide support and assistance to Elementary (grade 2/3) students in a classroom setting as well as small group and individualized settings
Qualifications and/or Assets:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexibility to work in a variety of programs and assigned duties
Background and/or experience working with children with diverse needs would be considered an asset
Calm and patient approach to solving problems
Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience
Ability to work one-on-one with a student in an inclusive environment
Commitment to ongoing professional growth
Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
