- Primarily teaching in the professional master's program in speech-language pathology, with a focus on developing clinical expertise.
- Required expertise specifically related to speech development in children and associated disorders.
- Potential teaching in other programs within the École des sciences de la réadaptation (bachelor's, master's, doctoral);
- Conduct independent research in speech-language pathology or related disciplines.
- Supervision of students at all programs (mentoring, master's or doctoral theses, final research reports for the professional master's degree in speech-language pathology).
- Participation in various faculty and university committees and bodies (educational, administrative).
The person sought for this position must:
- Hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in speech-language pathology, rehabilitation sciences, or a related field.
- Be able to teach in the field of child speech development and associated disorders.
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research in rehabilitation related to child speech development and associated disorders.
- Demonstrate communication and teaching skills in French or commitment to developing such skills within approximately one year.
Assets
- Completed a master's degree in speech-language pathology.
- Completed a postdoctoral training (or in the process of completing it).
- Current membership (or eligible for membership) of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec.
- Experience in teaching of child speech development and associated disorders.
- Clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
