Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Director and joining a small central Talent Acquisition (TA) team, you will work in coordination and consultation with TA and Staff Relations (business partner) colleagues to support hiring managers across a wide range of business functions and occupations to lead equitable and inclusive hiring processes. You bring knowledge and experience of full cycle recruiting processes and you ideally offer demonstrated experience sourcing passive talent and will share your expertise with the TA team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide specialized knowledge of candidate sourcing strategies and techniques on the team and support hard to fill roles by identifying and engaging passive talent.
- Leverage a variety of sourcing channels (job boards, LinkedIn, social media, employee referrals, networking events, and direct outreach) to promote opportunities.
- Facilitate inclusive candidate outreach and engagement activities and communications, including introductory and screening calls/activities.
- Lead non-management level searches/requisitions (which may include unionized).
- Develop recruitment plans aimed to attract diverse pools of qualified candidates in collaboration with hiring Chairs/Committees and TA/HR colleagues.
- Support TA/HR colleagues or Chairs/Committees with the development of inclusive job advertisements and equitable interview plans and assessment tools.
- Support recruiting activities as required including but not limited to: resume screening, administering candidate questionnaires, supporting interview coordination, and conducting and recording reference calls.
- Provide coaching to hiring managers & selection committees regarding unconscious bias in the recruiting process.
- Support TA Consultants with requisition load as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree combined with 2-4 years of related work experience, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills, with a consultative and collaborative approach.
- Experience supporting full cycle recruitment activities and processes.
- Curiosity and the ability to listen to requirements to inform research and information gathering activities aimed to identify talent (ie: knowledge of Boolean search techniques is a strong asset).
- Experience in developing and executing candidate sourcing strategies using a variety of online and offline channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to attract diverse talent pools.
- Experience leading projects or initiatives that translate well to the development of talent attraction campaigns and initiatives.
- Familiarity with AODA guidelines and experience creating accessible material to ensure recruitment information reaches diverse audiences.
- Highly skilled using suite of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is considered an asset. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is also considered a strong asset.
