RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:

Technical Support

o Answer service calls from our customers (phone and email both in English and French)

o Diagnose computer, electronic, and even mechanical problems, via phone, remote control, or on-site.

o Plan and install software updates remotely using our automated tools

o Create, document, and track service tickets

o Contribute to improving our knowledge base by documenting your best solutions and making them available to the entire team

o Act as an on-call support person, approximately one week out of four, answering emails and phone calls outside of office hours. For extra $ compensation

Integration (start-up) of new simulators

o Installation and configuration of computer cabinets based on the current project. We have a multitude of internal tools that help avoid repetitive and mechanical work. Let the tools simplify your life.

o Initial interconnection of the simulator's various computer components (start-up)

o Initial calibration of equipment

o Driving the simulator to test its various features

o Quality assurance checklist

o Pre-packing of equipment for shipment to our clients

o Participation in the continuous improvement of the integration process, whether through new processes, testing, and adaptation to new equipment or documentation

On-the-road customer service/travel

o Visiting our local clients by car to perform repairs and/or preventive maintenance on simulators. Includes mileage compensation with your personal car $

o Travel within Canada, the US, and internationally for preventive maintenance, repairs, or installations of new simulators. Includes hotel, rental car, and meal allowance $

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The desired profile is as follows:

o Curious and committed: enjoys learning and is willing to invest their time to fully understand the world of simulation

o Cartesian mindset: good diagnostic skills, process by elimination, and ease in interpreting symptoms

o Manual: comfortable disassembling and reassembling parts

o Organized: Knows how to plan their time well and prioritize critical tasks

o Team player: Enjoys helping colleagues and knows how to ask for help whenever needed

o Good communicator: knows how to explain complex situations in simple terms, listens to clients, and makes themselves understood

JOB REQUIREMENTS (deal breakers):

o Bilingual: The majority of our clients are English-speaking

o Traveler: Enjoys traveling and is available approximately one week per month (valid license and passport required)

REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

o DEC, AEC, or DEP in IT technology or technical support (or equivalent experience)

o Expert knowledge of Windows 7-10 (XP an asset)

o Experience with computer repair (hardware, software, BIOS, and imaging)

o Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English and French

o 2 to 5 years of experience recommended, but we will also consider interns and graduates fresh out of school

o Knowledge of electromechanics, an asset

o Programming knowledge, an asset

o Networking knowledge, an asset

o Experience in quality assurance, an asset
