Anticipated End Date: November 2026 (Two-year term)

Travel: Yes (Travel will be necessary to various VON locations throughout Nova Scotia)
- Provides direction and leadership to a project team of professionals to\u00A0ensure that\u00A0projects are delivered both on-time and on-budget.
- Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in execution and delivery and escalate issues for early resolution.
- Creates a control plan identifying both business process metrics and quality requirements.
- Establishes executive communications and reporting of the project, including development of status dashboards.
- Develops project documentation, including a Project Charter, Plan, SOWs, Status Reports, Budget and Risk Register. \u00A0
- Identifies critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback.\u00A0
- Provides project management services for the provision of Business Optimization services in support and delivery of project management.\u00A0
- Identify requirements, risks and mitigating strategies\u00A0associated with projects.\u00A0
- Holds meetings with assigned project staff in order to set goals, plan objectives and ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.\u00A0
- Ensures projects are delivered using PMI standards integrated with LEAN principles.\u00A0
- Schedules & conducts project meetings and teleconferences, including assignment of tasks to other cross functional team members. Provides regular written and oral status project plan updates to project team members, stakeholders and VON management, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Promotes the goals and values of VON and their role as an integrated community care provider
- Promotes a safe and healthy workplace ensuring workplace conduct and activities are in accordance with the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and compliant with the VON Safety Management System, including all Policies, Safe Work Practices and Procedures.

- Abides by all confidentiality and protection of personal information policies, regulations and practices and ensures appropriate safeguards are in place within their role
- Works in collaboration with other staff in a team approach to service delivery
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with senior management, and staff to ensure successful projects.\u00A0
- Works with both internal and external stakeholders to obtain and document requirements and proposed solutions.\u00A0
- Post-secondary degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent.
- Professional Project Management designation/certification required.
- Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in a project management role\u00A0
- Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication\u00A0
- Solid analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal,\u00A0and presentation) and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
- Ability to work well with cross-organizational teams, vendors and\u00A0other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities & manage time effectively
- Adept at negotiation and facilitation.
- Competent\u00A0in relationship building and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work independently and competently in a fast-paced environment.\u00A0
- Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities essential.\u00A0
- An understanding of LEAN Principles is considered an asset
- Must have a personal vehicle and possess both a current driver\u2019s license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Willingness to travel regularly during the day as well as periodically overnight(s) to support sites and attend meetings
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.\u00A0
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
- Ability to speak French is an asset.
Working conditions and physical demands: This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
