The Opportunity
Manage achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the branch. Lead Branch activities with a hands-on approach, completing and handling a variety of responsibilities to meet required objectives, as well as, overseeing the development and management of branch personnel
The Role
- Maintain operation procedures and oversee daily operations of assigned branches & Branch Operations Leads, in all areas including, but not limited to inventory maintenance, shipping and receiving, purchasing, facilities management and financial accounting functions.
- Ensure inventory levels are correct and appropriate, allowing the branch to meet customer needs while satisfying inventory level requirements.
- Ensure the timely shipment and receipt of incoming and outgoing goods. Ensure that required parts, products and materials are available and, when required
- Ensure freight guideline compliance as it relates to Routing Guides, Monthly Cost Review and Corrective Action, to manage freight cost in line with target freight percent of sales
- Ensure timely provision of facilities services to assigned branches; Work with WIC Facilities Rep on facility moves/add/changes in line with established procedures
- Ensure all financial/ accounting functions are accurate and handled properly such as ensuring appropriate sales cut-off, receiving cut-off, approval and reporting of expenses
- Implement and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, and ISO policies and legislation.
- Ensure purchase orders sales orders are entered appropriately, filed and outstanding orders followed up with sales team and buyers.
- Respond to and troubleshoot errors, challenges and problems by analyzing internal and external environment, implementing solutions to mitigate risks and ensure branch success.
- Coach and manage all branch staff, including contractors, while maintaining a harmonious and cohesive environment and complying with company processes and procedures.
- Report, analyze & implement corrective action related to key performance indicators to the staff so that output may be measured and evaluated.
- Ensure that employees are provided timely and constructive feedback as well as training to perform their job effectively.
- Operational Reporting. Assist with the preparation of and commit to the implementation of annual budgets and forecasts.. Liaise with required departments regarding monthly/weekly reporting (inventory, daily orders, back orders, accounts receivable/payable, etc.).
- Defines objectives and provide guidance to ISR teams while acting as a liaison between upper and lower sales levels
The Candidate
Education: Post-secondary education from a technical college, trade school or university
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience in a sales support role in an industrial field with 3 years in a supervisory capacity
Knowledge: Knowledge of industrial parts (Process filtration/pumps)
