Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Network Build Support with 8+ years of proven expertise in overseeing large-scale fiber to the home (FTTH) and fixed wireless network projects. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in driving municipal and utility relations, site acquisition, infrastructure approvals, construction management, material procurement, and network analytics. This position requires a results-oriented professional with strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
Key responsibilities include:• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, utility companies, and regulatory agencies. Negotiate agreements and secure permits for FTTH design and construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and policies during network deployments.
• Lead the acquisition of sites for fixed wireless deployments, including negotiation and securing of leases. Oversee approval processes for new fixed wireless towers and vertical real estate. Manage tower engineering design and compliance reviews.
• Manage acquisition of easements and access rights for private property construction activities. Ensure smooth construction operations on private properties while adhering to legal and environmental guidelines.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for network deployment materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Maintain inventory control and manage supply chain challenges for both fiber and fixed wireless construction projects.
• Define, monitor, and report on KPIs for FTTH and fixed wireless network builds. Utilize data-driven insights to assess project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead financial planning and analysis for deployment programs, including tracking spend, forecasting, and identifying budget variances. Conduct trend analysis to inform strategic decisions and optimize project financial outcomes.
• Negotiate and manage key agreements, including Joint Use Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Municipal Access Agreements, and Support Structure Agreements.
• Establish and maintain vendor rate cards and oversee build-related contracts.
• Manage contract compliance, including performance bonding, milestone tracking, vendor scorecards, and change management processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications network deployment or infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience with municipal and utility negotiations, site acquisition, tower engineering, and network construction.
• Strong knowledge of material procurement and supply chain management for network construction projects.
• Proven ability to develop and track network KPIs and perform in-depth financial analyses.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract management, including negotiating and maintaining agreements, performance tracking, and vendor scorecard management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools and analytics platforms.
