Description
We're seeking a dynamic Product Manager to develop and execute the lifecycle of our Internet Services portfolio, with a primary focus on 5G Wireless Home Internet and Fibre to the Home technologies. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for executing a compelling product roadmap that drives our mission to expand high-speed internet access across rural and lesser-served parts of Canada, supporting both product and pricing objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internet Services, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future as a leading facilities-based Fibre and 5G provider.
Key responsibilities include:• Develop and manage our 5G Wireless Home Internet and Fibre to the Home products product specifications and service definition
• Lead initiatives to prioritize and accelerate the deployment of 5G infrastructure and expand Fibre coverage
• Represent product management throughout the development and deployment phases of new services and pricing
• Drive proactive management of new household availability for 5G and fibre services
• Work with Network teams to ensure timely delivery of new product in areas that will drive customer growth
• Ensure newly available 5G coverage and fibre-connected areas are effectively communicated to sales and marketing teams
Lead initiatives to ensure Xplore is ready to capitalize on upcoming investments in 5G and Fibre to The Home
• Scan and stay ahead of competitive trends on Internet Services deployed in Canada and elsewhere
• Create repeatable, routine process to identify competitive moves in the Canadian marketplace
• Support competitive intel activities, process, vendors to continually develop the best possible view of products and prices that our competitors are deploying
• Review, triage and share competitive developments to senior leaders in marketing to improve decision making and position Xplore as a leader in rural Canadian internet
• Manage the transition from Satellite and LTE-based Internet to 5G and fibre services, ensuring existing customers have ample time to upgrade to upgraded Internet service and working with operational teams to ultimately decommission legacy network resources
• Collaborate closely with network engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align product strategies with company goals
• Work with finance to develop pricing strategies and business cases for new products and services
• Work with Supply Chain and Network teams to ensure visibility to sales and marketing demand requirements
• Represent Product and Pricing team on cross-functional projects
• B.A. in Business, Commerce or Marketing
• Understanding of Canadian Internet and the telecommunications market
• Strong experience and skillset with customer lifecycle mapping and its application
• Expert-level Excel; high capability in PowerPoint; comfortable in Word, PowerBI
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate a compelling vision supported by strong leadership and motivational skills
• Minimum 3 years product management experience within a subscription, loyalty or recurring revenue-based business environment
• Minimum 3 years creating service definitions and product requirements from its initial development through to execution
• Minimum 3 years project management requirements-setting experience; including budgeting, planning, and time-management.
• Experience working directly with teams setting and executing on product development requirements
• Extremely strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills and track record
