Full Time Math and Science Teacher

Full Time Jr/Sr Math and Science Teacher Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School, Edson, Alberta Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School (YKCS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Jr/Sr High teacher to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sharing the teaching of Math and Science at the Grade 7-12 levels. Specific classes will be based on the candidates strengths. We are a growing school that has an average jr/sr high class of 15 students. YKCS is committed to cultivating the faith of students so that they will be able to live in the fullness of life before God according to His will for them. We are in Edson, AB, 200 km West of Edmonton and an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. We are surrounded by vast forests with many lakes and rivers offering recreational opportunities. Key Responsibilities: · Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in all assigned courses · Develop and implement various instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students · Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support · Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning · Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support student success · Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events · Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks promptly Qualifications: · Bachelor of Education degree · Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta teaching certificate · Have a passion for Christian Education · Commitment to the mission and vision of YKCS · Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning · Applicants must be Canadian citizens or be currently eligible to work and teach in Canada.
