Are you looking for a challenging position where you can showcase your experience in the development and management of large-scale real estate projects?

Following strong growth, our client, a major real estate developer and general contractor recognized for its multi-residential construction projects, is looking for a Senior Estimator to work primarily on multi-residential construction projects in the Greater Montreal area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read plans, identify client needs, and ensure compliance with current building codes.
  • Open project files for bid submissions.
  • Prepare estimates based on plan analysis and send requests for quotes to various stakeholders.
  • Perform quantity take-offs to prepare bids.
  • Send bid invitations to subcontractors via our software.
  • Research subcontractors to expand the database.
  • Establish good relationships with subcontractors to maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Compare and negotiate subcontractor bids received.
  • Search for public projects (SEAO).
  • Follow up on contracts.

Requested skills

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in one or more estimator roles in construction (multi-residential).
  • DEC or AEC in Estimation, Engineering, Architecture, or any other relevant experience.
  • Experience in multi-residential development (asset).
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit, Autodesk Build, Procore, MS Project, and estimation software.
  • Functional spoken English and excellent French.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Quebec Construction Code, laws, standards, and other regulations applicable to the multi-residential construction industry in Quebec.
  • Experience working on multiple or public tender projects (asset).
