Description
Our client, a company specializing in the sale, installation, and repair of heavy-duty garage equipment for over 35 years, is looking for a Service Department Coordinator.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe coordinator will be responsible for scheduling service technicians, handling incoming customer calls, assessing their service needs, and creating work orders and quotes. They will also follow up on customer requests, track administrative projects, ensure health and safety compliance with clients, and perform various administrative tasks to support the efficient planning of the service department.
Responsibilities:- Schedule service technicians.
- Coordinate appointments with clients.
- Support daily operations.
- Handle service calls and customer inquiries.
- Maintain and update the service software and equipment records.
- Complete and submit warranty claims to manufacturers.
- Optimize daily operations and manage assignment changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, suppliers, and customers.
- Follow up on issues, necessary modifications, and operational improvements.
- Send work orders and quotes.
- Conduct follow-ups with customers after interventions (inspections, maintenance, service calls).
- Resolve service-related issues efficiently.
- Assist with administrative project follow-ups.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
WHAT OUR CLIENT OFFERS:
- Mentorship and training during the first months, if necessary.
- Salary between $65,000 and $70,000 per year, based on experience.
- Performance-based bonus potential.
- On-site position with the possibility of remote work (1 day per week).
- Flexible weekday schedule (ideally 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM).
- 3 to 4 weeks of vacation.
- Group benefits program after 3 months (50% employer-paid).
Work environment
Requested skills
- 3 years of experience in team/department management, administration, or coordination.
- Experience in electromechanics or mechanics (an asset).
- High school diploma, vocational diploma, college diploma, or other relevant education.
- Bilingualism is a must (French & English).
- Resourceful, autonomous, and detail-oriented (key attributes for this role).
- Experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (an asset).
- Organized with strong prioritization skills.
