Reporting to the Healthcare Manager at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Center, the Administrative Support III will require a high degree of critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team to support the program. They will require advanced or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex projects, procedures, practices, or initiatives within the department. This position is responsible for supporting and organizing several related activities to ensure the goals and objectives of the team are accomplished. The incumbent will be required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must demonstrate confidentially, flexibility, and initiative. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and changing work demands required. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use creative thinking. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Accurate data entry and attention to detail skills required. Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills required. Demonstrated knowledge navigating through and working with a variety of computer applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Connect Care, Markview, ESP, Insite, Sharepoint and epeople required. Ability to ambulate and move quickly in response to emergency situations. Experience in an addiction and mental health setting, preferably an acute care environment.

Medical office certificate, Unit Clerk course, or equivalent training and experience. Clerical experience in an acute, fast-paced, time sensitive healthcare environment. Excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills. A positive attitude, demonstrate a professional image, exceptional customer service ability, be a strong team player, a problem solver and be flexible with ability to adapt to change.
