Description
The Provincial Population & Public Health, Communicable Disease Control Program is currently recruiting an Administrative Support III position to support the Communicable Disease Control (CDC) program. Administrative support duties include the following: receive and process notifiable disease laboratory reports and outbreak data, input data into information systems and databases, review data for quality assurance standards; perform timekeeping/payroll data entry and follow up on discrepancies and inquiries related to timekeeping. Additional duties include providing coverage for other administrative support, generating reports, preparing documents and correspondence, and answering/triaging phone calls. Successful candidates will have strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions, be flexible and able to cope successfully with competing demands and frequent interruptions, communicate effectively in person and on the phone. In addition, you will be expected to work collaboratively, as a team player, within a culturally diverse, multidisciplinary team, demonstrate a strong work ethic and be accountable to maintaining confidentiality of all AHS information. In this position you must be available to work days and weekend shifts in a rotation Monday - Sunday. Successful candidates must be able to work on site and in person on rotation to your assigned CDC office.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Administrative Support program experience of at least one year within the last 2 years (notifiable disease, outbreak reporting, and/or immunization administrative support). Demonstrated advanced experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Teams, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel, specifically utilizing formulas, pivot tables and manipulating data in a fast-paced professional environment. Experience using Connect Care, Netcare, Meditech, CDOM, and ESP.
