We are looking for an individual passionate about supporting clients and their families through moderate to severe addictions and mental health treatment streams. Reporting to the Program Manager, Child Youth and Family Mental Health and Addiction, this position provides administrative support in a fast-paced inpatient clinic environment. This position is responsible for scheduling clients/families, meetings, incoming and outgoing mail management, referral management, supply ordering, receiving visitors and reception functions, as well as performing other related duties as appropriate. This position is listed as multi-site indicating you may provide services within the Children’s Addictions & Mental Health Portfolio including at Unit 39 (Red Deer Hospital), PChAD, or others as assigned within Red Deer. You will demonstrate the ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and have exemplary communication and conflict resolution skills. Please note that the position you are interviewing for/being offered has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Candidates who accept an offer of employment for this position will transition to Recovery Alberta.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Grade 12 including relevant courses. Graduate of a post-secondary secretarial or office/business program is required. Combination of experience and education may be considered.

Proficient and accurate skills knowledge in Microsoft Suites Applications (office, excel, power point, etc.) Keyboarding of 70 wpm desired. Experience of use of current computer applications and systems, including Connect Care. Strong communication skills, tact, good judgement to deal effectively with the public. Switchboard experience would be an asset.
