No matter what your role, working with us is about making a meaningful difference As an Acute Care/obstetrics Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will report to the Department Manager in a fast-paced environment that will challenge the ability to balance varying patient acuity levels and priorities while working to full scope of practice. You will utilize your excellent nursing skills while positively impacting the patient ' s perception of the care received. In collaboration with the interprofessional team you will have the opportunity to impact a department ' s efficient process in patient flow while supporting the optimal outcomes for your patient populations.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

As required.

NRP certification preferred. 1 year experience in Acute Care and Obstetrics.
