Description
Whether you live in Viking or the surrounding area, you will enjoy the rural agricultural setting of the Town of Viking, within Beaver County. Surrounded by grain and cereal crops, the agricultural landscape bursts with energy in the spring, and the vibrant bright colours of harvest in the fall. In the winter months the community bustles with sports and activities. This community, within reach of larger centres is located south-east of Edmonton, Alberta on Highway 14 about 120 kms, truly is the picture of a rural Alberta town as it continues to grow and thrive.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
As required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC). Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP). Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS). Obstetrical Experience in Post Partum.
